A Celebration of Place: A Desert Harvesters Evening of Story, Wild Foods, Drink, and Music
Wild foods will include:
- Desert bean plate including tepary hummus, Pima lima salad with marinated palo-verde and cholla-bud garnish,
- crackers with mesquite flour, barrel cactus seeds, and chia
- Calabacitas with nopalitos, garnished with barrel cactus seeds
- Wild drinks will include:
- Prickly-pear margaritas with barrel-cactus rim-salts
- Gin with creosote bitters
Live music with Jimmy Carr and the Awkward Moments
And there'll be a presentation by Brad Lancaster: "Story of Celebration and Regeneration of Place and People with Wild Food Forests"
Proceeds go to support Desert Harvesters, which started right here in Dunbar/Spring!
