Downtown Links Update - Paul Preston, Meredith Caldon
New completion date: July, 2025
How do we cross the tracks to get to downtown on bike or walking: There will be a pedestrian RR track crossing south of the platform bridge
Request to share the engineering plans via email
Deck bridge is not in alignment with 9th Ave, as it was on plans. Why is that? Its hard to say. Construction plans often differ somewhat from planning plans
Timeline for quiet zone? All construction has to be finished before the next step in applying
The engineering plans don’t look like the renderings we saw. It doesn’t look like what we are seeing constructed. Why is that? The deck plaza and bridge are connected. It is hard to read the engineering plans
What’s the plan for cyclists after crossing the tracks toward downtown? How do we get connected to the bike network? Franklin and Church are not great streets for bikes. Are we just going to be dumped out into that intersection? Yes. Bike lane ends at 9th and Franklin
Can you share a rendering please? We would like to see the plans. Please post them on the website. (request, not question)
This project is 2 years late! What recourse do we have?! How do we know we are working as fast as they can? Are there damages because of the delays? These delays are a result of the railroad. (1.5 year delay)
What is the surface of the bridge? Concrete
