DSNA Meeting Minutes: August 2026

NO QUORUM, informal meeting.

Sgt. Alexander from TPD (as well as Layla Morelos) attended and gave us an update and answered a few questions. Notably, TPD will be sending bike patrol officers twice per month to De Anza, Estevan, and Francisco Elias Esquer Park in Barrio Blue Moon. TPD made a dozen or more arrests this morning at De Anza park.

Union Pacific appears to be quickly moving forward opening the 5th St and "9th Ave" Bike/Ped railroad crossings. Completion looks to be imminent, which presumably means the City with then apply for a "no whistle" in the near future.
